In 1996, a select group of geriatric MDs, gerontologists, elder law attorneys, CPAs, financial planners and other experts on senior issues assisted with the formation of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Based on a report from AARP, 1.5 million professionals work full-time with seniors--8,000 have gerontology degrees. It was evident that those working with seniors needed a training program on priority senior issues. The Society of Certified Senior Advisors was born.
Our Mission Statement: The mission of Society of Certified Advisors is to constantly define the priority needs of seniors so that, through continuing education, Society of CSA members can be on the cutting edge to serve as recognized advisors.
