Algonquin Area Senior Center
Offers a variety of social and educational opportunities for area senior citizens. Open to individuals 50 years and older. Read the article from the Algonquin Countryside.

Lake in the Hills Senior Citizens Club
Social group for senior citizens.

Retired Adult Program (RAP) at McHenry County College

RAP is a lifelong learning program for people ages 55 and older that are active, curious, and serious about continually learning. RAP membership dues are $25/year.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service.

AARP - McHenry County Chapter 4622
Local chapter of a national seniors advocacy group offering services to seniors such as 55 Alive Driving Program and Tax Counseling.

Senior Services Associates, Inc
A non-profit agency providing services to seniors and their families in Kane, Kendall, and McHenry Counties of Illinois.

Transportation

Village of Algonquin Senior Bus Service
Provides transportation for senior citizens to medical appointments, grocery stores, shopping malls and village events.

Algonquin Township Senior Transportation
Available from Algonquin Township resident senior citizens M - F/7am-3pm.  Call 847-639-2700 ext. 6 to schedule your ride.  Fare is $1 each way.  Please give 24 hours notice.

Dial a Ride Service
Algonquin and Lake in the Hills is served by Pace Bus. There is no regular bus schedule for this area, however all residents can use Pace's Dial A Ride service to schedule low cost rides within the area. Bus service is available every weekday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (excluding holidays). Service must be scheduled a day in advance. Residents interested in scheduling a ride or obtaining more information on the program should call PACE at 1-800-451-4599.

Eastgate Retirement Center
A rental community for seniors featuring 107 luxury studio and 1 bedroom apartments. Utilities and local phone service included. Amenities include continental breakfast with your choice of lunch or dinner, weekly housekeeping, transportation, personal care services, and social, recreational, educational programs.
